Our Motto: "Dream It! Believe It! Achieve It!"
Dear Parents/Guests,
Thank you for visiting East Jackson Elementary's website. By reviewing the web pages, you will learn about our school and the learning opportunities provided to our students.
We are fortunate to have a variety of developmentally appropriate classroom activities each day. Students benefit from the activities provided through many programs and available services. For example, our Title I Program provides support to our students who are in need of remedial services to improve their skills. Students, who qualify, receive special education services. Programs such as our Safety Patrol and recycling program give students the chance to further develop many skills including their leadership skills.
Students will have classes outside of their main grade-level classroom. They will have other teachers from the same grade-level for specific content areas during each day. Each week, students participate in music and physical education classes. Sixth graders may choose to be involved in our 6th grade band. Also, our library/media center is open to our students each week for book circulation from our collection. The classroom teachers utilize iPads, Chromebooks and laptops with our students.
The East Jackson Elementary Parent, Teacher, Community Organization (PTCO) is a very active group of people who will continue to help us to provide many positive educational experiences for our students. We are working diligently and always looking for more members to become involved.
The staff at EJE is a caring and dedicated group of educators who desire to work closely with our families to provide a quality experience for our students.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact a staff member or me at 517-764-1810.
Sincerely,
Heather Jacobs
